2 February 2011
Love? What is Love? The dictionary defines Love as “a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person” And “affectionate concern for the well-being of others”. Wikipedia describes Love as “the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment”, can you really define Love?
1 Corinthians 13 v 5 says: “or rude. It does not demand it’s own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged”
Love is being described as not resorting to anger as a solution or being self-centred. Love does not hold a grudge, but how often do we find ourselves angry at someone else or holding a grudge? When we become angry or hold a grudge we can end up hurting people, it may be harder, but it’s usually better to talk about a problem than it is to ignore it. To be loving, we need to be patient and understanding, we need to realise the right way and the wrong way of things. If we hurt others, where is our Love?
