Don’t Do That, Do This! – Peer pressure.

Proverbs 1 vs. 10-16.

‘Walk away’, ‘say no’, ‘your better than they are.’ These are typical responses of people trying to help you pull away form peer pressure. Easier said than done right? Peer pressure can be a great thing but also, for some, a terrible reality.  Not many people have the confidence to stand out or to be alone, or to stand up for what they believe in at the chance they might lose friends. But believe it or not, anyone in your life that asks you to question what you believe in, probably aren’t as good a friend as you would think.  Facing peer pressure is having the ability to what is right even though it isn’t popular. They key to being able to do this is to figure out what your standards are, your beliefs and your opinions. Then when some one comes along who may want you to compromise them you will be able to stand up for what you believe.  It is very difficult to make the right decision in the heat of the moment. But with God’s help it can become a lot easier.
